how come there's never been a drag race video between BYD Seal Performance vs MG4 Xpower? Battle of the Chinese.. somebody should do that.

I find it pointless on a daily drive. I could easily catch up to a Tesla or byd when negotiating a bend. They tend to brake excessively when taking the bend and I’m not even trying and catch up to them. The enormous weight would create too much centrifugal force it would easily push them off the road if they do not brake hard to slow down before the bend. To me it’s a one trick pony.

Why I will not buy the BYD Seal right now ...
*Blunt throttle response which is noticeable in all modes.
*Hated the turn indicator sound and various chimes, it was a pain.
*No built-in maps and navigation, which is a big miss for a car in this segment.
*The software was a bit buggy.
*Most of the controls are through the main screen, which is a major distraction and a safety concern.
*HUD is useless in bright light and only displays current speed.
I would have preferred a proper instrument cluster; this one is small and is busy with too much information on a small screen.
Though I didn’t scrape anywhere, it will be a pain on slightly larger speed breakers and on bad roads.

This doesn’t look convincing at all. I am sure the car can do it in 3.8 seconds, but in this clip it looks fake and slow.
This is not the way to do an acceleration clip.

Sigh, that's so boring. If I wasn't paying attention I wouldn't have noticed you were accelerating. Does BYD come with a turbo V6 or v8?
