I know the real theory, but here's what i used to think:

So Rustys father, was Rustclaw and he was an old member of thunderclan and he was kicked out bc he killd the deputy, and then he met Rustys mother and they fell in love and had kits, but Rustclaw didnt want to be a father so he left, years later when FireStars on a mission, they meet and they meet. They fight, and FireStar kills Rustclaw, and FireStar lost a life.

So ik that this is a little bit of an odd theory, but that's what i used to think,

This is a pretty dark theory in my opinion but it still makes sense… Fire’Paw and Rust’claw look way to similar so I don’t believe that it is a coincidence at all.
