Thanks for watching! Hope you enjoyed this original from Tim and Austin and Chatham. Was fun to get to show off Chatham’s guitar skills in this. Appreciate all your support!

I love their covers, but man, their originals like this one really allow us to get to know the guys better. It also shows how immensely talented they are.

Born and raised in Dixie ... Pensacola, FL, to a family of fishermen, carnies, fast talkin' good ol' boys and con men. This song brings me to tears every time I listen to it. Not sure why. But let me tell you something, coming to you from a great grandma's perspective .... Say 'so long' for now .... trust me when I tell you, that you will return to Dixie in your heart, and soul and mind, over and over again, and in your old age you will come home to die, even if you are many, many miles away. The South/Dixie can never truly be left behind. And when you are my age, you will realize why.

Can we just say how beautiful Chris' guitar playing was in this song 🎵? He's magnificent on anything with strings. 😍 This song from the 1st time I heard it made me wish I was from the South, but I'm totally the other side of the map. Beautiful HomeFree, Jeffrey, Chris and all the others who made this possible. Loving it.🥰

My wife took me to see them last Christmas in Mankato MN. They put this gem in the middle of a set full of covers and hilarious spoofs that showcased their enormous talent. When they played this one though, the place got quiet. I thank my native Minnesotan wife for introducing me to these guys.

Everyone is soooo good! This song is PERFECT for Chase's smokey voice. I can't understand why this isn't the most popular group in the world.

Damn! When these guys aim for the funny bone, they hit dead center. When they aim for the feels, they hit dead center. Even if you never lived in Dixie, you can feel the vibe as you put your hometown in the rearview. A difficult emotion beautifully expressed.

Such a gorgeous song. The harmonies are exquisite. I have listened 4 times in a row this go round.

It's interesting how different people hear different things in this song. I hear someone whose life is taking him/her away from where they grew up, and this is a sad farewell. Not an insult to any place, just a sad farewell to a very loved place.

Ok. Why doesn't Home Free have a wall full of awards? They are clearly incredibly talented singers and songwriters, and they deserve much larger recognition!

Man, this one's amazing, isn't it? I just listen to it again and again. The harmonies are tight and accurate, as per the norm. I believe it's a miracle that these men found each other and sing so beautifully together. I've seen them in concert three times, and they just keep getting better. May they continue on this path for another three or four decades. Minimum. P.S. Chris Chatham is a joy to see and hear. Can't wait to see 'em live again.

Another masterpiece. Really so beautiful. Great lead from Tim and Chance. The amazing guitar playing of Chris Chatham that just belongs to this song. Then Adam's modest but great no-monica and the background vocals round it off completely. All this in a wonderful environment. Top!

Wow... This has got to be one of your best.
I'm neither from Dixie, nor the South, nor the US, but man, that message hits home. Thinking about all the things from my own culture and my own upbringing I'm not proud of, but which are still a part of me and undoubtedly made me who I am. But there are those things that I can and need to leave in the rear view mirror as I move on towards a better and brighter tomorrow. This may be what growing up is really about. Knowing your roots, where you came from - but eventually, we need to leave the nest and learn to fly.

I'm so glad I taught you so much. Remember the good times, forgive me my faults, and remember that the best way to honor me is to build a bright future.
