Welcome to another vlog! We’re celebrating our boativersary with a jaunt to London and a helpful recce of the quite intense London moorings. How do you ever find a spot?! Back on the boat we finally make a decision about our winter plans (as you guys know by now, the vlogs are still in the past) and which direction we’ll head in next. Literally. Congratulations! One year-the first of many I am guessing...we set off living aboard over 25 years ago intending maybe five years...and now I cannot ever envisage not being here. here in the US its just crisping up into autumn with the threats of hurricanes and tornadoes. Not so bad where I live but as I am very old I have time to watch the reports and can feel the devastation of those under the weight of it all.
Decided to have a light supper of 1/2 sandwich and soup and wanted to have a little company so I pulled up this vlog that I remembered enjoying. Great choice, thanks for the company so much more enjoyable than texting or even phoning. The two of you are such a treat, looking forward to all new offerings, keep charming us!

It's 5.30am I'm sat on a coach that takes me into work every day then takes me back to my accommodation on a camp, i drove 6hrs to get here last night , I'm saving up for my dream, thanks for all thr vids you have posted 🎉

I was going to wait until I caught up to your uploads to post this, but your ending prompted me to say it now. I’ve been watching YouTube basically since the start, and I’ve been watching vlog style channels for the last 8 years or so and I can say without a doubt that your videos are consistently some of the best I’ve watched. You’re style is great, you are both excellent photographers and videographers. The editing is great, the music, the flow. I am consistently impressed by the overall quality. Usually channels take some time to hit their stride, but your love letter to London video might be the best video of its type I’ve watched on the platform.

I don’t get the impression that you’re in this for tons of views, but I think is only a matter of time before your viewership increases 10x.

Anyway I have immensely enjoyed watching these and am a little sad that I’m catching up. Thanks for bringing the people in the camera along!

This is so inspirational… i moved to the UK exactly 1 year ago this week and I now live in Ely. A beautiful little town with a long boat community. I see them almost everyday and I’m so tempted to invest in one since the van life/tiny living has always been attractive.

You capture the joy and tranquility that living on a narrow boat must bring; over the past 6 years I’ve traveled for a short time each year on a narrow boat, Worcester to Limehouse, Birmingham and Manchester. Congratulations on your first year of long boat life. I've been watching your collection of videos for the last two weeks or so, very intrigued by everything - the swans and cygnets, the locks themselves, your nice little meals, and the gorgeous shots of the countryside. If you want a good full life you must continue to have adventures. When my partner and I were in our mid-sixties we decided to upsticks and move from Nova Scotia to Labrador for five years. People thought we were mad, but a simple rule of existence is that you don't age when you are adventuring. I published my first novel at 70 inspired by our life and my work on a First Nations reserve. This year I'm going to have my first gallery showing of my oil paintings. Then a pal and I are going to Paris. I'll be watching you two (but not in a creepy way!) .
