This Tablet PC is fun as HECK! - Chuwi Ubook X Review

I freaking LOVE this tablet you guys. It has a great attachable keyboard cover to turn it into a laptop. I has an absolutely AMAZING screen, It’s got the guts to handle some lightweight gaming, it’s an art tablet and it comes with this fancy pen to do art… stuff, if you’re an artist. Like me, obviously. But the BEST part about it is that it’s AMAZING for retro games! I’ve been having a ton of fun with this thing, and today I’d like to show you why I love it so much!

I have this tablet PC for almost two years, it still works perfect, and the battery is still holding like new. No swelling. I have a Xiaomi pad S6 Pro tablet, and to be honest, I use this funny cheap device more. The pen works fine, the keyboard is fine. It isn´t sold anymore, but at the time this was the best bang for the buck. Chuwi made an impression on me. I only repasted it, because it had some sort of miserable cooling pad, and used cooling pads to make contact with the aluminium backside for better cooling. Maybe that is why the battery is still good, when it isn´t cooked inside all the time.

I have been casually looking for a replacement for my ~2018 Cube Mix Plus Windows tablet and this looks like an potential replacement given its stylus support and acceptable hardware for lightweight use (no Atom/Celeron from that era!). Thanks for the highlight.

Just got my Ubook X 2023 with 12GB RAM and 512GB (475GB) SATA SSD. That thing is snappy with a nice display. Tablet PC + stylus + keyboard on Black Friday sale with a 14% coupon and gift (got a nice little wireless mouse) for 343€...hilarious 😀 Almost all reviews have a problem with the bezels. I am glad that they are more wide, because I do a lot of reading books and comics on tablets and my hands don't interfere with the display, so I can hold it comfortable. And with the 3:2 aspect ratio it is ideal for the task. Quite capable little thing. For that money, it is great.

I bought a Chuwi Ubook X directly from Chuwi, one with 2160x1440 res. Or so I thought because when I got it the thing was a 1920x1080 Ubook. I told them this, they said to send back the wrong one and they would send the right one. I waited a few days for the tracking number for the correct tablet and now they have no idea who I am. They even gave me a fake tracking number for the keyboard and stylus I paid for but never got. Avoid Chuwi at all costs because it will cost you dearly.

About the sound. There is a Realtek audio console program with an equalizer and "omni speaker" sound effect, which basically transforms the sound with the right manual equalizer settings. Playing around with this fun tablet PC. It is great for old games. I have a Legion 5 gaming laptop, but this is so much fun. Old games, comics reading, youtube watching.... So much fun 👌👍 Great bang for the buck.
