Hyper smooth can be used for the 16:9 videos while EIS is used for the 4:3 videos. If video quality at 4k is kept without distortion or degrading the 4k footage this maybe my next action cam.

wow I just literally bought the gopro hero 6 like a month ago lol, really gopro

Basically it’s the firmware/software they improved, added new features. Seems like no big hardware changes, same sony sensor, same f/2.8 lens. I already own hero6 and it’s bad on low light. A little of cloudiness or shade gives a very noisy footage, esp on flat color. Cant put a good audio even with their adapter. My yi4k+ does a lot better to be honest. The only thing holding great for gopro is weather sealing and durability. But tech wise, it’s just a revamped hero6.
