I wish this game had some sort of map, I don’t mean like a Crusader kings map, but something like the dwarf fortress map would be perfect.

You should have set up trade in the diplomacy screen with anyone willing at the beginning of the game. The money adds up. Also, fire the default counselors at the start and get better ones. Skills matter especially for your general.

this would make a great tablet or phone game. siting back on the couch and going trough the choices.
Iv had this game since around 2018 in think i tend to lose focus on it though. so i think a mobile version would suit well.
