If you google Labours manifesto pledge on inheritance tax they want to reduce the threshold down to £125, 000.00 (so if a house is worth) say £600, 000.00 less the Labour threshold of £125, 000.00 = £475, 000.00. The next of kin will be taxed 45% on £475, 000.00, ( You end up paying £213, 750.00 inheritance tax from a house worth £600, 000.00).
