"Live 1975-85" was sold as a box set of 5 vinyl records, 3 cassettes or 3 CDs. It also became the first 5-record album in the top 10, and the first one to sell over a million copies.

In 1987, two singles were released: a cover of Edwin Starr’s “War” and an outtake from “Darkness on the Edge of Town” sessions titled “Fire”. “War” reached number 8 on the charts.

Also, a music video compiled of footage from the "Born In The U.S.A." tour for “Born To Run” was released.

Wish we still had that excitement today when new music is released. Nothing better than going inside a record store to pick up something you really want!!!

This box set did not disappoint. After the hayday of the USA tour, it was so refreshing to a long time die hard fan to hear such a great variety of concerts small and large represented in one box set. Long live the Boss!

I got the cassette tape version for Christmas in 1986 and listened to it constantly for the next six years. Finally, I got the CD version in the '90s, then had the second CD stolen out of my car a few years later. Still probably my favorite music recording of all time!

Seen Springsteen live 7 times, but the first Bruce concert i ever saw was opening night of Born in the USA, in London, July 3 1985. I walked out of Wembley stadium, that night, convinced that at age 24, i had just seen the greatest concert i would ever see.
Turns out i was wrong, it was the second best live show i've ever seen, because 3 years later, the Tunnel of Love Express Tour rolled into town

He had so much more personality in the 80’s than he does now.

I remember having my dad drive me to Meijer (in Michigan) to get the cassette version as soon as I could after it was released.

I got the box set for Christmas when I was 11 or 12 and it's what really got me into the E-street band. I'm glad that Bruce revisited his thoughts on live albums. The energy of the E-Street band is felt on them and are treasures.

Best Christmas present I ever received. I owned Born in the USA, and knew a few songs from FM radio. but Live 75-85 took me a magical journey. Than is still going today. 25 shows a couple in the front row. I have traveled the country

Box set Christmas 1986, one of the best gifts I ever got!! Opened my eyes to the greatness of Bruce live and then saw him for myself in Sheffield on10th July 1988.

Been along for the ride ever since

I bought it when it came out and have been playing it since. In retrospect it was a good idea to go for the CD version 😅

I remember getting this in my early teens in the mid 90s in a small seaside town in England just playing it again and again. Still listen to it frequently.

I was a teenager when this originally came out ….the river had got my attention, then born in the USA hit and I was hooked and this just was a taste of what I wanted…… more and more experience of seeing this man and his great band live…… a love affair that is stronger today more than ever

Great video! A good watch.

UK here I've listened to Bruce for 35 year's, many many hours of listening his/their stuff. I have read his born to run autobiography and have most of his albums. Unfortunately I have never seen him live (missed this year's 2024 tour) and I'm ashamed to say I still haven't heard this live album.

My top 3 album's of his are (currently)...
1. Magic.
2. Nebraska.
3. Devils and dust.

(Note my top 3 albums of his change with the tide's).

Name your top 3 albums from the boss...
