Today we are talking low tech assistive technology for students with learning disabilities. Assistive technology is very important to the learning process of many with learning disabilities.

As a special education teacher, I am always on the hunt for great assistive technology finds that I can use in the instruction of students with learning disabilities. The time blindness/self-regulation thing is REAL. As someone with ADHD, I really struggle with "feeling" the passage of time. It's very difficult for me to tell whether it's been five minutes or an hour of doing something; it's also hard for me to judge how long something will take to complete. Timers and alarms are my best friends, it's nice to see something novel and kid-friendly like this! Especially for use in classrooms!
