For the first question, there should not be a ± in the answer given in the assessment schedule. As written in the question paper, sqrt(.) represents the principal square root function and this always produces a non-negative output.

I have two questions: The first one is for the geometric reasoning internal will their be a fornula sheet provided for us or will we have to learn all the formulas ourselves. The second question is how many credits can I get from mathematics this year in total? Because I've heard that it only offers 15 credits but there are other sources which say that I get more. Thanks
