1998-2013 Road Glide® Front Speaker Install

This video will explain the procedure needed to upgrade the front upper fairing speakers in 1998-2013 Harley-Davidson® Road Glide® motorcycles. We'll be using the high performance Rockford Fosgate TMS6RG speaker set.

Power 6.5" Full Range Fairing Speakers '98-'13 Harley-Davidson® Road Glide®

The TMS6RG is a full range coaxial speaker designed to fit the fairing speaker locations of the 1998 - 2013 model year Harley-Davison® Road Glide® Motorcycles. It features a Neodymium motor structure driving a co-molded, reinforced polypropylene cone with Santoprene surround. It also features an ultra-efficient 25mm dome tweeter with integrated phase plug and is made water/weather resistant with the addition of a Santoprene front isolation spider connecting between the tweeter housing and cone assembly. The speaker mounts using the factory hardware and comes with new grille assemblies.

Did anyone else notice that the rear turn signals where wrong.... But very helpful video!!!!

So far this is the only video I've seen where someone "IS NOT" using a power tool to remove the fairing screws!
Guys, some things do require the use of a regular torx driver!
This allows you to feel what your doing instead of speedily making haste of your work which could result in unnecessary damage to threaded plastic keepers!
The plastic on these fairings is so cheap that one should not use any power tool to remove or install any component within!
Just yesterday I removed my fairing to see what I had for speakers in my Road Glide, and "TA-DA", some "meat whistle" had to JB Weld a keeper back together after he or she broke it, most likely from the use of power tools!
Sometimes we got to go back to the stone age!

Did you use an adapter to fit the 6.5? I thought the stock road glide speakers were 5.25??

My question is would this fit a 2013 roadglide? And are this better then the ones they sell at the harley dealer to replace the stock one ?
