Another variation of the dice game yacht (of which Yahtzee is a derivative of) that I like to play is Kismet: The Modern Game of Yacht. That is played similar to this, except the dice are colored: 1 and 6 are black, 2 and 5 are red, and 3 and 4 are green. The bottom half is slightly different as a result, and a chance in that game (while scored the same way) is known as a yarborough. Scoring five of a color is called a flush, and you can also have a full house that doubles as a flush.

A Kismet is that version's equivalent of a Yahtzee. Unlike Yahtzee, if a player gets a second Kismet, then all other players automatically score zero for one category of their choice and lose the next turn.

I'm confused he said you pick which box to go for in the upper part then shows all the boxes filled out and the total added. Which is it do you pick one or fill them all out? Are you playing for both the upper and lower parts at the same time? I feel there should be a video of someone filling the score sheet out and explaining as they go to make this make sense.

That was a nice, simple explanation of an excellent dice game. It works well as a solitaire of sorts, too, whether you set a minimum score to achieve—like something between 250 and 300—to declare a win or simply play and try to beat your high score. For future videos on dice games, I suggest Yacht, Shut the Box, or Liar's Dice. Thanks!
