In my opinion ziyech was was too wide the whole game. Never allowing Reece to overlap. And havertz was isolated cuz no support from attacking wingers.

shame mount and gallagher always pushed up, played like forwards meaning ziyech and mudryk had to drop back

Both fullbacks need to invert when mason and Gallagher push up. They only did that in the final third. Second Half, Enzo barely touched the ball due to covershadow.

In 2:49, why won't James move in to the midfield a bit close to Gallagher, rather than staying that wide?

If he moves in, he can drive with the ball in that middle cos enough space is there....

I see lots of diamond shaped formation during the build up, but it looks like Ziyech, Kai, Mount & Gallagher were very passive and ineffective, they somehow weren't active enough to help the build up.
