This is a good sign for Galaxy’s Edge. With the Starcruiser closed, we can only hope that all the toys and ideas that were behind that paywall will be out for everyone to enjoy. Galaxy’s Edge can be fully realized!

My word, they look like Huey Dewy and Louie

Oh they're like little ducklings- that's so cute! I'd love to see these guys become permenant residents of the parks hopefully

This is beyond amazing! Look how happy the guests are just to see them strut their stuff!

Now THIS is what I’m talking about! I like having the tv characters walking around but just random Aliens and robots really would improve the land so much! Keep this up Disney!!

"Say hello to your friends!" *points to the lineup of decommissioned droids behind a row of iron barricades*

Bipedal walking is really a complicated thing in robotics so this is actually very impressive.

It’s about time we finally get some more roaming droids

Definitely a bonus. When you consider how many decades we've seen astromech droids show up at costume and comic conventions, it just seemed natural that an astromech would be the first thing you'd find at a Star Wars themed land. As far as I know we still don't have this obvious and overlooked experience but these are a nice second place.

The moment I saw the prototype of these guys I knew it was meant to be a BD unit. So stoked to see that they are already in the parks!

Those are some very expensive chickens! Also doesn't a pack of cool robots lose some of its magic when there is a pile of people following behind with remote controls?

Cool! Their nicknames should be Huey, Dewey, and Louie 😂

That is THE cutest thing I’ve seen today! It’s been a rough week. These little droids made my day!

Animatronics we can interact with? AWESOME! Does this mean we’ll FINALLY get a WALL•E meet and great like we deserved 15 years ago? 8D

Also, I dub these three HU-3, DO-3, and L0-3.

I hope these stick around, but considering the enormous number of cast members needed to operate them and corral guests, their obvious complexity, and Disney's history of testing new technologies and then never following up, I have extremely low expectations. I hope I'm proven wrong, however. Galaxy's Edge desperately needs more walk-around characters.
