UPDATE FROM THE FINFOLK TEAM!

I have just received and email from Abby at FinFolk Productions. They are revamping their mythic tail checking procedures to insure that this mistake doesn’t happen to anyone else. They are also adding extra safety measures to insure no one receives a tail with pins in them again.

They have graciously refunded me the cost for both sets of fins which I really appreciate. On top of that, they have express shipped them to me with a bottle of adhesive so I can have them properly and promptly attached to my tail.

Abby sincerely apologized for the mistakes and is being very kind and compensating. Thank you to the FinFolk team for taking accountability and for making this situation right. I dolphinitely accept their apology and am happy with the outcome of this mishap! ✨💛

I’m so sorry they sent it to you unfinished. I would be super disappointed too, I hope they rectify their mistake especially given that you love and show off your other finfolk tails and speak very highly of them. I wonder what the heck happened, and the pin is especially bad, what if they sent that tail to someone on blood thinners or something?

My worst custom clothing experience would have to be my wedding dress back in 1994. The day of the rehearsal I was preparing my gown to place it in the garment bag to travel and I happen to see about 10 long dress pins in the waist, which I figured they forgot to take out. Much to my dismay I started to pull the pins out and the under skirt fell 6” longer than the over skirt. I was mortified and called the bridal salon and they had me come down right away to fix it.

Ive had a really bad fear of water ever since a little incident on my birthday in high school. I can’t be more grateful to you for helping me remember every reason I loved the water and my tail!

I put on every tail I make and feel around to make sure I didn’t leave pins. It’s like my worst nightmare. I would much rather get stabbed than have it happen to a client. Accidents happen, especially when mass producing things. But I’m sorry this happened to you I hope they are able to fix it for you!

Omg I feel so much better knowing I am not the only one to cry over a tail! When I got my custom whimsy tail from mertailor, it was slightly faded and you could barely see my "rotting and tattered" hip fin and the spotting was very faint. I definitely cried for a good 15 minutes before I took it for a swim 🤣 I still wish it was a bit more like the digital design, but I still love it all the same haha!

I love it!! The scales look so incredible!! I can't believe they forgot your fins though, I would have been devastated especially after waiting so long, but like you said at least your got it and hopefully they'll get back to you soon. I cry with every Disney movie lol I can't help it though sometimes they get super emotional or just touch your heart so to speak. FYI your tail looks incredible 😍 so happy for you!

I have only gotten halfway through this video and you handled it exactly as most people would have. I would have been very upset too and would have cried as well. LOL. When you spend that much on something you expect it to be what you bought and to have it missing its fins is enough to upset anyone . It is super frustrating when something arrives wrong. (I have had that happen too) and super frustrating to mail it back then have to wait AGAIN. sigh

Even despite the issues with the tail, I looovveee the scales oh my gosh. It's freaking gorgeous!!!!

It's so unfortunate that so many things were forgotten with your tail! :( I'm glad it's getting remedied and hey! Kind of a neat opportunity to learn a new skill, if anything happens to this mythic or your others you'll be able to reattach fins all by yourself!! As for names oh man, gold themes inspire so many. Belle because of her beautiful gold ballgown, rapunzel from her long golden hair, the first person who came to mind was governor ratcliffe in his golden outfit from pocah 😂😂

So gutting! Could tell you were so upset, particularly as you were so excited (as you should be). Can't believe there was a pin left in there, ouch! The tail is still so beautiful though, If I had the money at the time I would've gone for either the gold one or the pink one! Fins crossed it gets sorted! <3
