Can a dog that can track a wounded deer, also be trained to find shed antlers?

What kind of scent do you put on the antler toy

I have a dachshund I already introduced him to them around the house he will go find them after I hide them. But he won't pick it up or give me any sign that theres a shed there. Any advice. I already know small dogs dont get threw the terrain as easy but he's got the nose for it. An wants to work. Just want pick it up.

That would be awesome I love to shed hunt but honestly I'm not really very good or lucky at it plus I love dogs so that would be so much fun to go hunt with a dog.
