Thanks, Chris, very useful. It had always intuitively seemed to me that singling out one party alone on the issue of anti-Semitism rather addressing the problem in general of anti-Semitism in British public and political life was a rather odd way of going about things, in particular in light of a report by Anti-Semitism UK itself showing higher levels of anti-Semitism among Conservatives. From the ensuing purge the only conclusion possible was that it was not anti-Semitism, but rather the Labour Party, that was being targeted.

Not fit for purpose! - EHRC should be closed down and replaced by an organisation with a less pompous title and whose independance is more open to scrutiny.

Dear Mr Williamson,

All commissions in the UK are quangos without one single exception. They all lack independence. They are all heavily conflicted. They all lack power and authority. They all serve to protect the government, its institutions and private companies from the general public as opposed to protect the public from the government, its institutions and private companies. The government recently made it incredibly hard for people to pursue justice though routes alternative to commissions, through for example the judicial system by for example cutting back on Legal Aid. Successive governments have done a very good job of closing as many doors as they can in the face of the general public, by which the general public can pursue justice and hold the government, its institutions and private companies accountable.
