Simple tablet weaving. Pattern included!

I'm an experienced weaver of many years, but somehow never learned tablet weaving.
I remember my college roommate weaving with cards (tablets) and being utterly confused by it.

I find the tablet weaving is hard on my hands, but my kids keep requesting that I make them things. 😂This is an easy pattern where all of the cards move in unison - that makes it a great project to do while watching a movie or listening to a podcast because you can’t lose your place.

I have tried this and cannot figure out how to work with the constant twist. The video says to reverse all cards, but that changes the pattern. I never see the cards reversed in the video. Would really appreciate further direction.

Another bed weaver 😂.
I can only weave in bed (on the bed mainly) with my feet steadying the loom. I find that I become part of it and have more control.
I love the pattern and the colours. Does it have any historical connections? It's beautiful whatever.
