When my cat’s condition unexpectedly worsened and I had to say goodbye, I payed the extra fee for private cremation because I wanted to ensure I was getting his ashes and not the ashes of another pet. The box was provided but the emergency vet and what I received was the cheapest looking laminate Wooden box for his ashes. Even the label with his name just screams “I am mass produced!”. It was honestly devastating to receive such a thing. I did not have the money to afford a new urn for his ashes as the private cremation and emergency vet bill was quite expensive. I’m also still really scared that the ashes might be loose inside the box but recently one of my other cats for some reason decided to knock his ashes off of the shelf (in 4 years they’ve never touched it so I have no clue why now??) and the cheap box landed on one of its corners and dented in that entire corner. My baby deserves better than that cheap piece of garbage. I will be looking for a new one so thank you for the guide.

We are having a really hard time opening a screwed lid urn. Some type of glue was used when it was sealed. We tried hot water, thinner and nothing is working. Help please

I have to do this with my mom’s ashes. They want $200 for them to do it at the crematorium. I’m not paying that. But it makes me nervous about handling my mom’s ashes. Seeing there’s probably a bag helps a lot. She’s in a metal box the crematorium provided.
