Man that is so true. People can try and try so hard to force the emotion into their voices, thinking that if they sound it all out correctly - or have the right conviction (right? :P) - that they will make people believe in what they are saying -
But... if you don't really believe in what you're saying - or "play pretend" like Richard says - then you'll still sound scripted no matter how many times you try.
And if you really don't believe in what you're saying - no one else will, completely.
