Make your own baby PUFF with 2 ingredients

My son loves rice puff from the big brands, so I thought I would try making them. If you are also trying to learn how to make rice puffs, the rice puff I made here only need 2 ingredients. Rice and egg whites.

If you have left over rice you can consider making these too. The amount of ingredient I used is because I wanted to make more for this video, but it turns out it made so much rice puffs its impossible for him to finish alone. As they do not contain preservatives, it wont last as long. So probably 2-3 days max.

I would suggest cutting down the ingredients to maybe half if you don't want to end up having too much leftovers. Although.....adults can eat them too :)
It starts to lose its crispiness at day 3, perhaps its the egg whites, I may try to remake this without the egg whites since the store bought puffs don't seem to need it. Lets see how it goes :)

Really like this recipe!!! I tried at different temperatures and the best so far is 215 degress Farenheits for 75 minutes. It really melts in mouth. I add different purées to the rice instead of water and cinnamon powder for flavor.

I just made this but instead of using rice I used his baby cereal and it worked great! Thanks for the recipe!

I changed the water for spinach-water mix and the baby loves it!

Thank you for this video. My baby has texture issues with wet or slimy or saucy foods. He only wants foods that are chopped very small and dry to the touch. His diet can improve now. This is such a great idea.

Have you tried vaccum sealing these to make them shelf stable? Or maybe using oxygen absorbers in some mylar bags?

This actually works 😍 mine came too soft. How can I make it bit hard so that it won't break easily?

Do you have any suggestions on how to make it vegan? What about replacing egg whites with flax seeds?

Puffs are in the oven! Next time I'll try a higher temp. They've been in the oven for almost 2 hours and the center is still wet but they look good. Did you manage to successfully make them without egg?
