Prime Minister Narendra Modi has been making a quiet but determined push for a permanent seat for India in the United Nations Security Council ahead of the UN’s 70th anniversary celebrations in October, 2015.

How many of u know the fact tat the position "CHINA" currently enjoys today as a permanent member at the UN was once offered to india by both USA and RUSSIA..India politely requested them to consider CHINA cz it was not a well known country back then and was suffering...now the same china killed indian soldiers .

I think a fair formula to make arm control effective is to empower the U.N. peace keeping force by making each member nation contribute equally in a quota base on population and GDP amount of finance and man power. This make U.N. strong to deal with any aggression or bully like N korea or China, or Iran, RUSSIA Or even our dear old U. S. A. And don't expect they go any easier like current UN on the Nuclear power that are too chicken not to use it.

But it certainly says something about something-not-right, when she does not (or does not have the capacity) give her best to understand the aspirations and parochial issues of her neighbors (her most immediate ones, in fact.) It not the population growth, not A Bomb threat to any country, moreover India in 2020 & Modi & Amit Shah Government can not claim to be the premantent representative in UN.
