Maximization Case in Assignment Problem:
We may come across the situations when assignment problem calls for maximization of sales, profits, revenue, output etc as the objective function. We can such problem by converting it into a minimization problem.

(1) To solve a maximization case, we need to construct a matrix/table known as "Opportunity Loss Matrix". For this purpose, select the largest value/payoff element form the table and subtract all the elements of the table from the largest element. The result is the "Opportunity Loss Matrix" which has zero in the place of the largest element and the assignment problem with us has now minimization objective.

(2) We can solve the problem in usual manner by HAM.
