'Future Funk II' 99% (Insane Demon) by JonathanGD | Geometry Dash 2.11

Damn. This level is so good. It's my favorite level by JonathanGD for sure. All of his really long levels have all been very good overall, but there have always been a few parts here and there that felt noticeably worse than the rest. However, pretty much every part in this feels just as interesting as the others to me. There's either some really nice gameplay mechanic, background effect, or block design in every part. I have to say that my favorite part is at 3:21, and that's because of the colors used. I still remember the rainbow part at the end of the prequel, and this part is an obvious reference to it, while still being a bit better in my opinion, since it has more variation in design and a nicer background. Like you could probably tell, this video isn't recorded by me, but rather by Arb. As you can see, his record is 99%, but we thought it would be nice to upload this because of the amazing animation JonathanGD made at the end. I'm not a fan of making the difficulty spike a ton at 99%, which makes the gameplay unbalanced and can ruin the enjoyability of playing it, but I still appreciate the effort JonathanGD put into this. It's a nice meme ending. That ending is the reason why I didn't wanna attempt beating this myself, though. If you think you can sit through a couple of deaths at 99% on a level that is 3.5 minutes long, then this level is something for you. It will most likely be about an Insane Demon because of how hard it gets towards the end, and it will most definitely get an Epic rating.

jfc this level's decoration is actually damn amazing!! it's SSS tier, really!! it just has SO much style and detail and AAAGH it's so good!! and it reuses concepts from jon's dead levels which i love!!

i'm not so sure about the gameplay though, 99% seems to be made for the sake of a meme instead of a genuine gameplay decision. too hard for me to beat, but it's not hard to appreciate it for what it is!
