Thank you so much for your videos. I enjoy them very much. And I'm learning a lot from them. I'm also improving my English pronunciation. Since I learned my English mostly from books, I 'd like to ask you this question: why is "lay out" used for sunbathe instead of "lie out"? If I hadn't watched your video I would have used "lie out" because it's an intransitive verb. Why has it become common to use a transitive verb such as "lay out", instead of an intransitive verb such as "lie out" nowadays?

I’d like to go to beaches and get some sun. I think It’s very important for health.
During this lockdown, lots of people has been to Bondi beach on weekends. Some of them laid out for getting a tan. There was very crowded yesterday. Thank you very much.
