16x9 - Love Affair: Polyamory is license to cheat

It's called "Polyamory" and some claim it's a license to cheat. 16:9 finds out if relationships without borders can really work. Carolyn Jarvis reports.

Polyamory seems like splitting hairs of polygamy. Everyone has their own ideosyncratic boundaries when it comes to letting their partners get sexual with others.

I haven't watched this and I probably won't because of the title: polyamory is license to cheat. That's an open relationship. Polyamory is love between more than two people, a relationship that is not necessarily open.

EyeLean5280, it's not immature or destructive to express how a third party makes you feel. And for many people, a third party entering their marriage is quite distressing. Not to mention, in most cases, a third party entering into a marriage ends up destructive as well.

Polygamy may be increasing in popularity, but the success rate is still quite low compared to a conventional marriage.

If anyone's statement is immature, I think it's yours.

They do as they please but nobody is going to force me into any of that kind of relationship whether i am aware of it or it is in the name of religions

For me, a marriage is between two committed and faithful persons. And if you are going to have a family that is the way it should be. Otherwise, no need to marry better live a free life and be honest about it. On the subject, if you analyse the stand of polygamous religions, they all permit men to have multiple wives but forbit women to do the same. Some even kill women for doing what men can do using GOd ... if that is not outrageous i wonder what is I personally live single and that way i am safe and do not have to put up with men selfishness and abuse or cheating.
