XTOOL OBD2 Scanner Printer Driver Setup

This video shows how to download a printer driver and install it on an XTOOL Scanner. I demo the installation on both the D7 and IP819. The procedure is applicable to most XTOOL Scanners and most printers.

A big THANK YOU mate for your help. My D8 was similar to set up and with your guidance I managed it. I am not very techy with computers but can follow instructions, and when Xtool says just to download the printer app, and when I try it is impossible, I get very down and bloody annoyed. This is the same with so many things these days, so I am very grateful when I come across genuine help. Thanks again.

This would not work on my XTool D9, I keep getting “Parsing Error” message

Just an update...I was not able to install the latest Mopria on my DB918. Had to download older version 2.15.5.apk from a download mirror site. The newest version of Mopria requires higher version of Android in the tablet. XTool maybe update the Android later?

HI HAVE PS70PRO .my subsription hase expired .Have text xtool support, and been told there is no more updates available, .Any idea how to if posible to update to last versiot .thanks

Is there anyway the D7 scan tool verify the mileage on the odometer is actual and has not been tampered, or altered/changed?

Here's a way to print on any setup without downloading anything if anyone is interested. The way in the video is easier long term if your printer is supported but my directions below will work if your printer is not supported or if you just don't wanna download any 3rd party software.

1. Plug in USB to both your PC and diagnostic tool.

2. Swipe down on top of diagnostic tool screen to bring down notification bar.

3. Touch the option that says "USB Connected Touch to copy files to/from your computer.(wording could be different since I'm using D8BT)

4. Click "turn on USB storage" and then click "ok" when it tells you some apps may quit working or not function correctly"

5. Go to "my computer" on your PC (if you can't find it just type it in search bar) and find your device in the "removable storage" options listed such as (E:) or (F:) mine said "DIAGPAD (E:)" on my computer or you can click "open folder to view files" if it pops up on screen. Then click DIAGNOSIS and then REPORTS.

6. Open the document like any other and you should be able to carry out printing as you would normally on your PC from here.

7. Afterwards look in the bottom right corner of your PC where your speaker volume and internet network info is. There will be an icon down there usually with a green arrow that says "safely remove hardware". Click it and then click "safely remove USB mass storage device".

8. Turn off "USB storage " on the diagnostic tool which should still be displayed but if not swipe down from top of screen and look in the notification bar again and unplug your device.

Why not just copy the PDF file to the PC and print it out. You could also edit it before printing if you wanted.
