If I'm paying for mahogany to floor a deck I wouldn't really care how slow he was as long as the progress was steady. BUT it better be effing perfect when he was finished!

Principles first, be precise, the speed comes later people especially with decks there’s an art to it 👌🏽

I used this tool to resurface my old deck and to build my kids a treehouse and it is amazing. Makes quick work and a smooth top finish that will never come loose unless the boards start rotting out from lack of treatment.

That’s one expensive deck. I’d like to see the end product.

This guy gets paid by the hour, not the board.

I have used that tool... It's a marvelous invention, especially of you have to deal with snow on your deck, no screw heads to hang up your shovel. And the screws are torx.

You’re building a floor out of my best guitars basically.
You must get great mid-tones as you walk across.

It’s obviously he’s teaching another person. Once he gets it down he’ll be faster. Keep up the decking work!! 100

It’s a great time to be alive with all the new tool technology! Work smart not hard.

Once, I watched an owner berating a contractor because he expected the guy to measure in, pre-drill and perfectly align each screw on his cedar deck. Where I live, wood screws are predominately Robertsons, however, this guy wanted Phillips heads—which is okay if you specify it. Fine so far; right? Well, the deck looked great but the owner was angry that the '+' of each screw head should in his mind all be perfectly aligned / turned to 0/90-degrees! Nope, if the screw was turned even a few degrees too far—say 5/95-degrees—it drove him up the freakin' wall full-on Crazy!!! Can you imagine some lunatic busting your balls and demanding you use a freakin' protractor on each screw head for this 1, 600 sqft deck? Literally thousands of screws and he wouldn't be satisfied with him just 'eyeballing' it, either. Way to make your OCD somebody else's nightmare! What an asshole...

A deck is literally just a weird flex on the people you bring to your house.

Didn’t have tools like that when I was younger. Good job mate.

Raise your hand if you're blown away by a magical tool which perfectly spaces the planks and perfectly hides the screws.

I bought that tool from a friend 5+ years ago for like $10 or less. I thought it was a staple gun, later i found out it was for deck building. Still haven't used the tool. Im glad someone is getting use out of it. Hahaha
