UPDATE: Amber alert in Virginia ends 200+ miles away in Maryland - full report

Just before 9 a.m., VSP attempted to initiate a traffic stop on the suspect vehicle traveling northbound on Interstate 95 near the 166 mile marker in Fairfax County but VSP officials said the driver refused to stop and a pursuit was initiated.
The vehicle continued north on I-495 into Maryland, where the driver lost control and crashed near Exit 7.
An overnight amber alert was sent out of Virginia Beach involving the driver of the vehicle who crashed.
