Imperium - Machine Head - Guitar Cover and Tab

An instrumental cover of Imperium originally Machine Head from the album Through Ashes of Empires

Tuning Drop B -
B, F#, B, E, G#, C#

Note - Machine Head often tune 40 cents sharp! My cover is in normally drop B to make it easier to play along to.

I've not done enough Machine Head so here's a classic. I've watched several of the Electric Happy Hours and pretty sure this is now correct. Some of the string noises between sections changes so feel free to add your own noises!

The hardest part is probably the string skipping section towards the end especially if you decide to down pick most of it!

During the tremolo section I highly recommend starting the 0 2 0 part with an up stroke or at least when it repeats as it flows a lot better - I'm pretty sure that's what Jared and Robb do when looking at the videos too.

For those newer to playing the 5th fret notes in angled brackets are natural harmonics. Lightly rest your finger on the string without pushing down on it and you should get a harmonic to ring out.

I had to do some funky panning at the end as YT kept thinking this was the original recording of the song.

A question for your next Q&A if you're still taking them: How can I improve with the more lead type playing? Is there anything that can help to go along with practice? I'm ok at the more chuggy or tremolo stuff like Gojiras Silvera, Love, Clone etc. I just get a brain fart whenever it's a bit more technical lol
