Unethical people are easy to spot. Allowing them to come inside your circle of trust or associating with them in any way never turns out well. Distance yourself from unethical people and be outspoken and "on the record" about your concerns. There's no need or reason to be courteous and polite in this situation. If you choose to keep quiet or look the other way the consequence is on you.

i think del galdo is a how-to-run-a-government lawyer more than the guy you want in a manslaughter defense going to trial. just like freeman got a lawyer more appropriate to his situation, lacey and staples probably need a different attorney for theirs.

like i've mentioned, i don't think he's quitting the village, he's just asking to quit these cases. the case against lacey is potentially a $33.5M banger against the city and their insurance only covers $10M of legal liabilities, the rest is up to the village. it's questionable to me if his firm could even handle the whole caseload even if they wanted to.

tack on what they owe chicago for their water and their bond debt, then the deficit this cartoon villain racked up, and dolton, a pissant village of about 20K ppl already taxed to the limit, could potentially own more than like $70M! i'd say it's time for the state to take control so the voters who have proven to be systematically incompetent can't do themselves more damage.
