The 2019 International Banking Seminar was hosted on October 20 at the Inter-American Development Bank in Washington, DC.

The seminar was moderated by G30 Chairman Tharman Shanmugaratnam and consisted of three sessions:

Priorities for Emerging Nations in a New Global Environment (8:25) featuring Roberto Campos Neto, Governor of the Central Bank of Brazil; Veerathai Santiprabhob, Governor of the Bank of Thailand; and Patrick Njoroge, Governor of the Central Bank of Kenya.

The Advanced Economies: Economic Challenges for the Medium Term (1:14:33) featuring Haruhiko Kuroda, Governor of the Bank of Japan; Klaas Knot, President of De Nederlandsche Bank; and Lawrence H. Summers, Charles R. Eliot University Professor at Harvard University.

Cryptocurrencies and the Future (2:33:20) featuring David Marcus, Head of Calibra, Facebook; Agustín Carstens, General Manager of the Bank for International Settlements; and Darrell Duffie, Dean Witter Distinguished Professor of Finance at Stanford University.
