5 Things I HATE About My First Gen Power Ram!

Five things that I cant stand about owning a first gen ram, overall a great truck never has broken down on me, but it does have its issues!

My first dodge truck was a 1971 D 100 . It was a 318 2 barrel that ran till 385, 000 miles when the crank broke . The shop that worked on the 1974 360 that my brother inlaw and I rebuild said they had never heard of a crank breaking in a half ton truck . I now have a 1989 D150 318, ps, pb, AC and tilt with cruse control . It's got everything I wanted on my 71 . Thanks for the memories .

Handsome truck! I have a 1988 W100. No deep rust but a it has hail damage to the roof and hood. I love our rare trucks!

My 1989 W100 sat for 11 years. It has very little rust at all. Runs and drives great.

My 86 D250 with the 360 engine has some quirks mostly electronic gremlins are a problem. It's a tough truck but you always get that I hope this shit turns on anytime you use it and park it. I've gotten to the point of buying spare electronic parts and a big tool box just in case but that's the awesome thing when something busts you pretty and much can fix in a parking lot and make it home without a tow.

I'll take it👍😎👍got a 86 standard 4×4 I can do the flintstones brake stop with the hole in my floor but she starts every time and pulls better then my dad new hemi dodge ram. Think the hole in the floor was a free air system they offered back then lol

You can't blame the truck for lack of maintenance is all I'm saying I own a 1988 D150 short wheelbase four wheel drive and front fenders are in great shape only rust is on bed over the tires but my interior has the rubber flooring.... It was a special order truck with 373 gears front and back the chrome package and factory chrome bar grill and tow package with factory chrome rain guards on doors and AC and sun visor same cool as truck. When it's in 4 low it pull a stump About 10 mph max in 4 low that's when the Rev limiter comes in...318 TBI love that ole truck she still a solid ole truck...as of today it blowed a head gasket but I got the complete gasket set on it's way have her back and running in no time

Thanks for the update. Thank God mine doesn't have any rust on it. I have the 1987 Dodge W150 limited edition and was wondering what type of headers to use. I was thinking between the shorty of middle way headers

LOL I've got a 92 long box d250 5.9 12v and up in Canada people drool at the shape it's in and it's way worse than this. Beautiful truck man

I bought a 89 dodge w100 and it was abused to all hell. I’m talking mudding in the woods where they smashed it into trees running it until it won’t run anymore. My plans are to completely restore it to its new condition. If it wasn’t for the frame being so clean and the engine and trans running smooth I would part it out.

We just bought our twin toddlers a 1990 LE 150 and there’s barely no rust on it. It has a few dents but no rust. Ours was a farm truck 😅

I have noticed that on my 1986 D100 and my 1988 W150 neither one of the tailgates work. Is there a way that this can be fixed?

You call that bad rust. 😆, , , I had Flintstone holes in mine drove awesome, , , sold it cuz I needed money wish I haven't but buying one soon again
