With the Rimworld Anomaly DLC, we see a psychological horror theme added to Rimworld in what is arguably the most unique of the Rimworld expansions. A strange monolith is found on the map and things can soon devolve as horrifying entities appear and threaten the colony in ways never experienced before. In addition, Rimworld Anomaly also adds ways to contain these entities, dark new psychic rituals and a new ending to Rimworld.

Rimworld is a Sci-Fi colony builder simulation game focused on managing a small group of survivors with the goal of eventually building a space ship to escape the planet. Rimworld is developed and published by Ludeon Studios. After a successful Kickstarter campaign, the game went through several Alpha and Beta versions before seeing the release of the Rimworld 1.0 version in October 2018. This playthrough uses Rimworld 1.5, the latest update to the game.

Worth mentioning is that chimeras have high psychic sensitivity as an entity, and are flesh and blood.

This means they're incredibly susceptible to vertigo, effectively stunning them and turning their high speed against themselves as they stumble in the wrong direction. They're also incredibly weak to berserk pulse, as their enraged buff means they will tear each other apart until they're all dead or dying.

I would honestly say they are much more threatening than vanilla manhunters.
They are not much more complicated, BUT the few tricks they have up their sleeves make them far worse.

I'm disregarding the killboxes or other ways of funneling them - because that trivialises just about any fight.

Chimeral are rather durable - having a health scale between a bear and a rhino.

What makes them dangerus is their rage and attack.
In rage - they feel no pain, they move faster and can't be slowed down by stagger.
You can't incapacitate them - you must kill them or they will keep coming - this makes them far more durable than they seem.
On top of that - each one of their attacks stuns - so they are very dangerous if they get into melee, especially if they outnumber you, and they usually do.

There is one important difference between them and manhunters. Manhunters have the "maddened, manhunter" mental state while the Chimera doesn't.
This means Chimeras can be given a mental state, like berserk.

All biological entities in Anomaly is instantly shut down by Manhunter pulse from Royalty. This psycast works as a berserk pulse on all of them.

Oh and encountering them give recipe for juggernaut serum, the 2nd best drug in the game
