'La Femme' by Sophia Vari, NY. Fall 2023.

Sophia Vari, recently deceased, was from Athens, Greece.
Her work was informed by cubism, Olmec artifacts and Ancient Greek sculptures.
She flattened the planes and latter applied color to the surface, which gave her sculpture another dimension. Color gives more vitality movement, her forms appear to be moving as viewers walk around them
