10) Holiday Inn, Shanghai
This pool at the Holiday Inn, Shanghai, China, hangs 100 meters up in the air and looks very inviting at first glance. Once you jump in you realize that instead of looking down at pool tiles, you can have a complete view of Shanghai city. There is a glass bottom at the deep end and you are 100 meters up in the air! Well that is scary. Would you dive in this one? Unless you want to flaunt your swimming skills to the people walking on the streets below, not many will take this dive..

9) Nemo 33, Brussels
Nemo 33 was the world's deepest pool until San Alfonso Del Mar stole that title in 2007. It is now the second deepest indoor pool at 108 ft. Using highly filtered spring water at 96 degrees Fahrenheit, the pool is home to diving instruction, recreational use and film production. Divers can explore the system of underwater caves, and because Nemo 33 stays a constant warm temperature, they don't even need wetsuits.

8) Habitat Swimmable Bridge
At 38 stories high, this bridge connecting two luxury apartment blocks in the suburb of Bishan in Singapore, is already intimidating enough to be on top of. Using the infinity pool idea, Habitat Swimmable Bridge lets you swim across the daunting height and you can’t get a better spot to work on your tan.

7) Sanctuary Retreat, Tanzania
While staying at the Sanctuary Swala in Tanzania, you can enjoy a dip in the stunning infinity pool that overlooks the nearby waterhole, which is often visited by elephants as well as the big cats that are often seen. Apparently, this is a selling point. While most people don’t really fancy being that close to a lion or an elephant; some are daring enough to swim in this pool.

6) Golden Nugget Hotel & Casino, Las Vegas.
Las Vegas is known for its over-the-top amenities and attractions, and this pool is one of them. At the Golden Nugget on Fremont Street, the main pool has a three-story water slide that plunges through a 200,000-gallon shark tank. Did we mention the slide is transparent, so you can see the sharks that are circling just inches away? It is perfectly safe they assure us – the slide is enclosed. But call us pessimists, what happens when it breaks??
If the slide isn’t for you, you can also swim up to the tank to observe five different shark species and a variety of exotic fish

5) Ocean Dome, Japan
The Ocean Dome in Miyazaki, Japan is the perfect alternative to an actual beach. Once billed as the world's largest indoor water park, it is home to the world's largest retractable roof with a simulated sky, clouds and all, a fake volcano, artificial sand and the world's largest wave pool. While the Ocean Dome attracted 1.25 million visitors in 1995, the dome closed in 2007 for renovation and resort repairs, with no official word of when it will reopen.

4) Library Blood –Red Pool, Koh Samui
You might think someone had a terrible accident when you first see the waters of this blood-red pool, but it’s actually just the pool’s walls and floor that lend it its crimson hue. For extra dramatic effect, the pool also features underwater lights that make the shade pop even more, drawing in the tourists of Koh Samui. This is not as scary once you are in but red water does look terrifying at the first glance.
