For seven years, the petitions challenging the electoral bonds (EB) system have been pending before the Supreme Court. Now, the hearing has once again been adjourned to 6 December, with the solicitor general taking the stand that EBs are "completely transparent".

More than 10 thousand crore worth of funds have been generated by EBs since 2015. India Today's Aneesha Mathur spoke to Jagdeep Chhokkar of the Association for Democratic Reforms, who said the scheme has several drawbacks and citizens have the right to know who is funding political parties and how much funds are being given.

public can be made fools on their faces and they can do nothing about it ... courts delay, bonds and fcra are rock solid proofs for it.

Total electoral bonds is around 3000 crores.
Whereas only in last Lok Sabha election 60, 000 crores of largely black money was spent by political parties.
Only in Karnataka state election 20, 000 crores was spent.
V.G.Siddhartha founder of CCD and funder of Congress in Karnataka committed suicide after the Congress defeat in Karnataka.

Bjp is the richest political party in India. The question is ly they are in power last eight years and how come they become richest political party In India? By favouring corporates they are getting funds through electoral bonds...
