What a time to be alive. Seeing CR7 and Messi play week in week out during their peak was truly a blessing.

When I was young and looking at Rauls number of goals around at 50, I was thinking "wow.. How could someone break that record? You have to be the season's top scorer for at least 5 years! (since top goal score was around 10) How could someone do that!" But now seeing CR7 and Messi, it's really insane. The record just tells us how great players they are

I love how Thomas Müller and Lewandowski arrive together in the charts in 2016. They were such a crazy good Duo!

Too late to witness dinosaurs, too early for to live on another planet, just in time for Messi and Ronaldo.
Thank you god.

thomas muller as an attacking midfielder with 56 goals is ridiculous

Just a reminder, Ronaldo played winger for first half of his career. Scoring more than 100 goals in Champions league and more than 900 goals in total is crazy number. That's intense hardwork and training. ✌️♥️

In the later years, there were far more Champions League matches per season and the difference between the very strong and the weak teams was also much greater.
This is why the presentation is distorted to the disadvantage of the earlier scorers.

Raul is criminally underrated. It's all about youtube highlights and fifa stats nowadays, but the reality is, he had no exceptional talents except his game IQ, and he managed to stay on top for a decade while playing support striker to Morientes, R9, Van Nistelrooy etc.

CR7 is an example of hard work, Messi is an example of raw talent, Raul is an example of superior game IQ.

The way CR7 came out of nowhere and elevated real quick and dominates the history is something hard to be released in our lifetime

Does anyone else remember Shevchenko and Rebrov for dynamo kiev in the late 90s...
They scored some fantastic goals.

I’m a Barca supporter.. but a striker like Raúl has almost gone forgotten today, and that’s a shame. People like him, people like Laudrup that are absolutely greats and some of the best players to ever play the game, don’t get the acknowledgment today, and I think that’s a shame… and this goes beyond what I support.. sport is about achieving excellence and both of these players did and there’s more like that.

Put some respect on Litmanen's name! He was top early on and still top 10 up until 2006 ! And he was a midfielder

Year is 2007. Somebody at local bar tells you CR7 will eventually score more than Raul already scored. In Knock-out phase alone.
