Even though I have xp/windows7 settings to show all files, sometimes the recorded files didn't show in Windows. Restarting the Android device usually solved that problem. Another problem I had with xp/Windows7 is that sometimes I could not copy the recorded files to the computer. One way to solve both of these problems that worked for me was to use the Android device and copy the recorded file to another place (storage location) in the Android device. Then the files could always be copied to Windows and named to proper extension (like .mp3 or .aac). Lastly, AAC files wouldn't play in VLC, but played fine in MPC.

This worked OK on 2013 and previous TuneIn files, but they changed the format with Version 12 and above. I still don't have it figured out.

couldn't you just use ffmpeg (from ffmpeg.org) to automatically determine whether the file is aac or mp3 or whatever, and from there create your mp3 file? I do this and it seems to work well.

Now they use .tir files, i guess for different versions they have different file extensions, my tunein looks way different than yours, no good for me.
