hello greetings from nz. im trying to grow bilberries for my kids but struggling to get them to mature stage. i managed to germinate the seeds but most seedlings died in outdoor conditions during summer - either excessive rain, too high ph or improper growing medium the seedlings reach 3-5cm as one stem and then turned brown. i did use a mixture of dry sphagnum moss so rather acidic mixed with a potting mix. i did water with rain water as my tap / hose water has high ph. i would be grateful for any advice. someone suggested to keep them indoor until they reach 30cm but they dont grow any bigger then 30-40cm anyway and i wonder if this is an issue how can survive in the wild. thank you
