The Paolo Thaon di Revel class is a class of multipurpose offshore ships built by Fincantieri for the Italian Navy. It is planned to replace four Soldati class light patrol frigates and eight Minerva class corvettes between 2021/2035.

To me this Ship ticks all the boxes for the Royal Navy's Type 31 requirement, shame it will never be considered.With the Iran/Straights of Hormuz region hotting up this ship would make an ideal Tanker Escort I think.
