I thought I heard somewhere that when she did decide to record "My Heart Will Go On" that they wanted a quick demo. So she went to the studio and recorded a 1 take demo (ie. She just sang it once). When they played it for the Titanic soundtrack people they said, "we will use this". Celine's people then said that they would get her back into the studio to re-record her vocals & flesh out the instrumental track a bit. The soundtrack producers said, "No...we will use THIS". Celine's people tried to explain that it was just a one take demo with no studio enhancement & the instrumental track was not complete, but the soundtrack producers said they wanted that recording. So the version we hear of "My Heart Will Go On" is the one take demo with no enhancement & an incomplete instrumental track. May be an urban legend but if it's true...what a fucking voice.
