This video probably has become unecessary long, but in this Ismono RAW video I wanted to take you along how I re-evaluate and re-pack my extended everyday carry from the Trakke Foulden Pouch to the Evergoods Civic Access Pouch 1L.

FULL DISCLOSURE:

The review part of this video is not sponsored nor did I receive any money to review the item. While I sometimes get bags for free, I have to pay custom fees, shipping fees and all my videos have lots of production costs (e.g. software and music rights). Therefore I invest my own money into all of these videos and I have no intention to be biased towards a product or company. Every review and quicklook is written by me and no company can pay for preferential scheduling or what is said in the video. Furthermore, the company sees the video the same time as all viewers here on youtube. All opinions in this video are my own unless stated otherwise.

ETHICS STATEMENT

HOW I REVIEW:

As you might know from my „How I make a buying decision“ video: Rather than just looking at the pros, I like to evaluate the cons or flaws of an item and then evaluate if I can live with them. That is why in my video reviews I concentrate more on the cons of an item rather than going over all the features. Therefore everything shown is just a fraction of all the points that go into the verdict and score of an item.

DIFFERENCE BETWEEN A QUICKLOOK AND A REVIEW:

A Quicklook usually covers pre-production units or items that I only used for a short period of time. While Reviews cover final items that I have reviewed intensively.

AFFILIATE LINKS:

No matter if I like or dislike a product, I want to make it easy for you to check out the product yourself. Therefore I include a link of the productpage. If marked with a star *, that link is an affiliate link, meaning if you buy the product via the link you DO NOT pay more, but you will support the channel.

Check out this video for why I now include affiliate links:

I like the honesty about the usefulness of pouches, a find a lot of reviewers imply that you absolutely need some product no matter who you are. I'm not a heavy tech user or anything but I am someone who enjoys organization. Having pouches and bags makes things easier when I'm using things at home, at school, or traveling when I know I can just put what I need in one and I'm good.

Nowadays I put all my extended EDC (pen, wet wipes, knife, some bike tools, band aid, hand lotion, eye drops etc.) into a small simple zipper pouch so I can easily switch it from backpack (work) to handbag (going out) to bike bag or weekender bag.

That Trakke pouch is still great, one of the best. Lately I prefer wearing less pouches, and using the bags compartments instead. But, that Trakke is still a must.

like how detailed u think through where to place the items in the pouch! like close to the zipper opening etc

Bag life, baby. It’s comforting knowing other people switch out bags regularly.

Great video! I use lots of pouches for my extended EDC. I love bags and have collected several now and like to change them out from time to time. It makes more sense to me to just switch the pouches over to the new pack. I am currently using a THULE small tech pack, Tom Bihn side effect, Tom Bihn small whale pouch, and a topo designs accessory bag for pens & pencils.

Great video! Thanks for the ideas like the gaffer tape on the pen! I keep a bit of tape wrapped around a piece of an old card in a similar way just in case I need a bit.

I have a similar approach to you for my GaN charger, various cables, etc. The Evergoods pouch looks really nice, but the pouch I use is more similar to your Trakke pouch. It's the Thule Paramount 2 Cord pouch. It doesn't have any organization, but I've found that if you keep your cables organized it's an excellent option. My current bag doesn't have an admin panel that can handle all of this and it's easy to just toss the pouch in the bottom and hit the road.

What the hell…I haven’t even gotten a shipment update yet for my Cap1 I paid for in early December!

Great video Bo . Watched the whole thing . You gave me a few good ideas for my extended edc pouch . Personally I prefer your track pouch but like you said . You gotta work out what works best for you .
I’m stealing your gaffa tape idea and I like your torch rational . You are right ; having a torch that you don’t need a power bank for and can just throw a battery in, is a great idea . Nice post . ✌🏼

"Power Adaptor" or "Power Convertor" are commonly used in the US. Great video, Bo!

Hi Bo, happy NY and all the best for 2022. I call power plug. Power brick is like a power bank e.g. "Anker".

About the Victorinox knife, I always, and I mean always travelled with it for the past 5 years in Europe. European law dictated that you can carry blades (knife or scissors) with a blade no longer that 6 cm.
UK border control found it and they said it is fine, Italy border control found wanted to take it away, but them released it in a couple of minutes. Honestly the Victorinox manager is the best traveling tool. Germany, Czech Republic, Spain ( they didn't take the knife but a large carabiner, whatever), France, Ireland, Belgium, Switzerland, Portugal, Sweden, Austria and even Romania didn't blink an eye when they saw it and I keep it on my keys, so very easy to see on the tray when I pass security at the airport.
Honestly, never had an issue with it.
I believe I took it to Japan and South America (across 5 countries) and never had issues with it..
BEST TOOL EVER!!

How is CAP1 in retrospective? Do you still use it vs. Trakke?

My "EDC" is pretty simple, now, phone, card holder, spare car key, and car key. I keep masks and hand sanitizer in the car, since I do food delivery part time.
Everything else I might need I realized is already in my backpack.
