Great content! Would love to see the early histories of the conferences. College football is, in my opinion, much more interesting than the NFL. Keep up the good work.

Two things get lost with Bill Snyder as coach. One, he ran one of the most versatile offenses in college football. If you held K-State under 21 points you were an elite defense. Two, he was an innovator when it came to recruiting. Before the transfer portal, there were the JUCO's. Snyder was able to find great talent in the JUCO ranks and because these players had previous college experience he could run more complex systems on offense and defense. Bill Snyder is one of the best coaches in the last 30 years and he was way ahead of his time in offensive football and recruiting.

Before Deion turned around Colorado and before Jim Harbaugh turned around Stanford, 49ers, Michigan, and now currently the Chargers, it was Bill Synder. People forget how bad the facilities were at K-State. How he and his assistants how to go and convince boosters to fund better facilities and even uniforms to get the program turnaround. That took long hours of staying at K-State and not going home.

I was at that Texas State game and i was hoarse for a week from screaming after that win. We stayed for an hour after the game and we touched that goal post every time we saw it. ❤

Actually, Kansas State was good...in the 1920's and 30's. Bo McMillin (who went on and had success at Indiana, another football wasteland) had success there before Waldorf. After 1934, Pappy went on a journey to the College Football HOF, and K-State football went down the toilet (I think that Pappy left because he wanted them to have boosters, and they refused) until November 30, 1988.

And that lineage continues today at OU. First it was Bob, and now Brent taking over. The Snyder tree runs deep
