This webinar features key individuals at the New York City city, national and federal level who shed light on the government’s response to the COVID-19 pandemic. A number of performing arts and entertainment professionals have asked a series of questions related to their freelance and gig status connected to: entities that still owe them money, IRS stimulus checks, the new unemployment expansion guidelines and disaster assistance for the self-employed, solopreneurs and small businesses. The panel of experts featured are: Commissioner Lorelei Salas of the NYC Department of Consumer & Worker Protection, Linda Henson, of the Internal Revenue Service, Judy Conti of the National Employment Law Project and Peter Fehnel of the United States Small Business Administration.
