'He won't be happy': Prince Harry faces coronation uniform snub

Prince Harry is not expected to attend King Charles' coronation in full military regalia – something he "won't be happy" about, News Corp columnist Louise Roberts says.

When you leave or retire from any of the Military Services in the UK, you can no longer wear a military uniform. Every year on Armistice Day, we see thousands of ex service personnel marching past the Cenotaph in civilian clothes, wearing their medals, while they remember lost Comrades. It’s very special to watch.
Harry needs to get the message that he chose to leave the Working Royal Family and all that life behind him. That includes any honorary military positions he may have been granted by Her Majesty..It’s the same rule that the everyone else has to follow and not nasty pettiness, We’ll leave that behaviour to you Harry.

The word 'snub' seems to be over-used and abused these days. This is no personal 'snub' to Harry, it is the rule for every ex-serviceman/woman in the UK (and elsewhere I believe). He and Andrew were both given special dispensation to wear their uniforms at the late Queen's vigils but not for the funeral. It would be disrespectful to all the ex-service personnel who follow the rule and only wear their medals.

Why would he want to wear the British Military uniform. He has slammed Britain, , the late Monarch, Prince Phillip, Prince William, Princess Anne, the British Army & other members of the Royal family.
If truth be told, he should stand among the spectators along the parade streets ( probably scheming something ipleasant n his devious mind )

I am so confused. He gave up his royal duties and left with his wife. Why does he want to wear the uniform. Harry confuses people on so many levels.

Harry tried it on the late Queen to have his style of royal life, ie keep the things he liked and ditch those he didn't, but she immediately shut down his half in/half out ideas. He chose to leave and after the 12 months the Queen asked him to wait, said he wouldn't be back. No dressing as a royal or a soldier then, Haz, you can't have your cake and eat it too.

He has nothing to be proud of about Afghanistan, after admitting to killing 25 Taliban and calling them chess pieces. He doesn’t deserve to wear the medals of his two tours, let alone a uniform. Shame on him for putting this information in his book, ‘Spare, The Diary of a Whiny Kid’! This was dishonourable behaviour!!
