My excel the value must be a number, but i try everything it work for me before but doesn't know some one maybe have a methode write to me

I recently had this issue, however, I had to create my date from different columns as the Day, Month and Year were each in their own column. So after successfully doing that, it still didn't want to group even though I had my formatting set to YYYY-MM-DD for the field and the dates were all in the correct format.
How I corrected it was actually very straightforward in simple.
1. Select the data in the column
2. Go to the DATA tab on the Excel menu and click on - Text to Columns
3. Click Finish when the popup appears, and there you go, problem solved.

I think that this doesn't work in the Mac version of Excel, but that's not too surprising ;-)
