Samsung ATIV Odyssey Unboxing | Pocketnow

The ATIV S might've been the star of the show last month, but Samsung still hasn't managed to get the high-end Windows Phone onto U.S. carrier shelves. In its place comes the ATIV Odyssey, a mid-tier model for Verizon Wireless we took a quick look at in Vegas. It's this midrange handset, not the bigger ATIV S, that lays claim to the title of first Samsung-built Windows Phone 8 device for the U.S. market.

Specs are predictably underwhelming, with a 4-inch 800x480 Super AMOLED display, 5MP primary camera, and 1.5GHz Snapdragon S4 CPU backed up by a solitary gig of RAM, but there are bright spots, too: a Micro SD card slot provides storage expansion, and the phone comes packing LTE for fast 4G connectivity.

@Mouthmusician here in the northeast temperatures for highs were in the teens and wind chills in the negatives for example in Erie high was 12 low was 0 and and wind chill was -18 degrees Fahrenheit. Brutal cold. Its still brutal today.

This is made for the mid range, the Ativ S is highend and should be compared to the lumia devices.

The Ativ Odyssey is a low end (worse) version of the original Ativ S, so it is not fair to review against the Lumia 8xx series.
The Ativ S can compete with the Lumia 8xx devices.

I advise anybody who has a phone like this to not buy this because you will experience bugs and malfunctions. And if you downloaded something your storage automatically take up space on its own. So dont get this phone or else you want experience problems.
