The Cardinals fan base is in a trance about MHJ. They're so scared to lose out on him that they're closed-minded to the possibilities. I prefer him as well, but I'd take 11, 23, and next year's first - then take my chances to move back up for one of the three WRs in the top ten, over MHJ by himself. I actually think we can do the deal with the Vikings then package 11, 35, and next year's third to go back up to five for MHJ.

54:40 I've been thinking Sainristil to the Chargers in the 2nd for a long time like Steve says here. Doesn't matter how much their roster does or doesn't need him on paper, I think Harbaugh is 100% gonna strongarm that pick

Love the format of this particular podcast. Let the fans interact by voting, Big Goofy 😜 and Grumps 😾 chop it up while the votes tally. Splendid 👌

Lmfaoo you know how hilarious it is that Sam wants to argue how to say someones literal NAME but he himself pronounces the word "record" like a certified nerd. top shelf comedy this guy

Why are people complaining, it's just a mock draft 🤷🏾

I got some takes.
* CB Quinyon Mitchell will be the first defensive player taken.
*ATL will trade out of the top 10.
*LAC will trade down twice in the first round.
*CAR first pick in R2 will be a CB.

Joint size is a decent predictor of strength and size potential. I haven't looked deep into the science to know if it's a strong enough correlation to really care about. This is something that's been known/talked about in strength sports for a long time though.

Glad the chat got it right for GB. Verse or Newton would clearly be the pick for them in this situation, with preston smith aging and no extension done with Kenny Clark. Wiggins is probably off their board unless they plan on bulking him up like they did with Jayden reed this past year.

As a Falcons fan I just can't get excited about taking one of these pass rushers at #8. It is clearly their biggest need but when I look at every analyst's big-board, none of them have a pass rusher in their top 10. Some of them don't even have a pass rusher in the top 15. Even when they are high on one of those guys there isn't a consistent favorite. Some of them like Tuner, some like Verse, and some like Latu.

Maybe Atlanta feels strongly that one of Turner/Verse/Latu will be a stud and is worthy of a top 8 selection, but I'd rather take the consensus blue-chip wide receiver or trade back with a team that needs a top-tier pass catcher (of which there are a lot).

You should do this with callers and every caller that correctly predicts a pick gets a free subscription

No corners for chargers at 11? This media narrative that the chargers have a right tackle “ need “ has gone completely off the rails. I’m going to write a long email detailing my many problems with this because Sam’s only opinion on the chargers draft ( JIM HARBAH LOVE RUN SO HE TAKE TACKEL ) has been driving me crazy

For obvious reasons I can’t see the chargers trading with Denver or the raiders

Had low expectations with a community draft but I would love Verse to the Packers would be a huge steal

Just a general observation re the PFF simulator… it seems Nix and Penix regularly are going early-mid round 2. Unless you’re a team with a well established QB taking a backup, that range makes absolutely no sense to me… if you like the guy enough to draft them in the early 2nd, surely the draft capital to move into late 1st (and get 5th yr option) is nothing compared to saving the cash and cap space?

I think the top 10 will be similar to this... 1st C Williams, 2nd Daniels, 3rd Vikings trade up for Maye (gives up 3 1st picks), 4th Denver trades up for JJ (gets exchange first get 2nd and 3rd) 5th pick Chargers grab Harrison, 6th pick Raiders for Nabers, 7th Titans grab OT Alt, 8th Falcons get Latu, 9th Colts trade up for Oduneze, 10th Jets grab TE Bowers 11th Pats get Penix, 12th Arizona get Wiggins, 13th Bengals trade with NY for WR Coleman, 14th Saints grab Fashanu, 15th Bears get Latham
